Nestled in the valleys of the Big Hole and Wise River Montana, Freedom Ranch for Heroes, hosted by the Harbaugh Foundation, is a sanctuary for those who have proudly defended our country. It’s a place for healing - both physical and emotional - and adventure. Over the years veterans representing every branch of our nation’s military, first responders, retired law enforcement officers, and others have been hosted at the Ranch for a journey of healing, mentorship, and camaraderie. Montana as a stunning backdrop for participants offers Freedom Ranch guests experiences that are unparalleled and engage the therapeutic powers of fly-fishing horsemanship and the great outdoors. Project Healing Waters, Inc.™ is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military personnel and veterans through fly fishing – with volunteers teaching the basics and advanced techniques, while building long-term relationships. It’s so much more than a one-time fly fishing trip.

The Harbaugh Foundation was established in honor of George and Betty Harbaugh, who had a shared desire to positively impact the world, and spent decades giving back to those in need. Last year, the Foundation impacted nearly 4 million lives in the following areas: Military and Veterans, Animals, Education, Medical Research, Youth Development, Wildlife and Land Conservation.
